DTF hot melt powder is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)‑based adhesive powder specifically formulated for DTF digital printing. When heated, the powder melts into a gel state that firmly bonds the ink layer to the fabric surface, ensuring transfer adhesion, wash fastness, and elasticity.
The product is available in fine, medium, coarse, and multiple functional powder grades to suit different fabric types and hand‑feel requirements.
Key Features
Graded particle sizes for different fabrics:
-
Fine powder(1‑80μm): for smooth fabrics, soft and smooth finish
-
Medium powder(80‑250μm): general‑purpose, balanced performance
-
Coarse powder(250‑400μm): for rough fabrics (denim, non‑woven, linen), stronger adhesion
-
High adhesion – Strong bonding to both ink and fabric. Adhesion strength ≥4.5 N/cm² ensures long‑term durability.
-
Excellent wash fastness – Tested at 60°C for 40 wash cycles: no peeling, no cracking.
-
Eco‑friendly and non‑toxic – 99% purity, free from harmful substances, compliant with international environmental standards.
-
Soft feel with good elasticity – Pure TPU formulation maintains soft touch while ensuring durability, with strong stretch recovery.
Usage Process
-
Apply powder – Immediately after printing, evenly sprinkle hot melt powder onto the wet ink layer to ensure full coverage.
-
Shake off excess – Tilt the film and gently tap to remove excess powder, leaving only powder adhered to the ink area.
-
Cure – Apply heat to melt the powder (100‑120°C, 60‑90 seconds). The powder transitions from granules to gel and fully bonds with the ink.
-
Heat transfer – Heat press the cured film onto the fabric to complete final adhesion under pressure.
Applications
Compatible with cotton, polyester, nylon, denim, linen, blended fabrics, and any material that can be heat pressed.
